1. Cows suffer when they are away from their best friends. Yeah, that's right, these animals form powerful social bonds and make BFFs. When their close friends are away, cows actually show physical symptoms of stress and depression.


 2. Sea otters have the densest fur of any mammalson this planet. It's hard to imagine, but these cuties have more than a million hairs on just one square inch of their bodies! And that's not all, their fur has two layers;a short undercoat and a guard coat, which is longer. As a result, these two layers trap air andprevent water from getting onto the sea otter's skin.


 3. There is a vast cloud of alcohol floating some where far away in space! Sagittarius B2 is a massive molecular cloudof dust and gas which drifts about 390 light years from the center of the Milky Way. The entire mass of this cloud is more than3 million times bigger than the mass of the Sun. But the coolest feature of Sagittarius B2is that it contains a variety of alcohol molecules, including methanol, ethanol, and vinyl alcohol. 



4. Zombies do exist! However, they look nothing like those creepy creatures from the last horror flick you saw. There is a species of wasp in Costa Rica thatattacks spiders and takes over their minds, transforming them into literal zombies! To do this, the wasp injects a cocktail ofpoisons and chemicals that make spiders obey and become hosts for wasps' larvae.

But this chunk of crystallized carbon is only2,500 miles across, which is less than 1/3 the size of our own planet. Still, that’s a big shiny rock!

18. Humans are not the only ones capable of raucousbouts of laughter. Rats know how to laugh as well! While researchers aren't sure if these creatures have a twisted sense of humor, it's a proven fact that rats make laugh-like sounds when they are being tickled.

It's connected to the ocean through tunnelsin a limestone reef, and, as a result, hundreds of creatures get to the lake from the nearbylagoon. But the most famous inhabitant of the lakeis the golden jellyfish. Unfortunately, in 2012, the lake was closedto visitors because the jellyfish population decreased dramatically. However, it seems the population has recovered enough, and nowadays, you can enjoy underwater jellyfish parties again. 


20. If you've never seen a spotted lake, takea trip to British Columbia, Canada. Its unusual appearance is due to the waterin the lake evaporating in the summer. All that is left is tiny mineral pools of different colors.
